Explore The Vedic Yantras!

What is a 'Yantra'?  Is it a path, a technique, or an instrument, an apparatus, mystical diagrams or instructions that Vedas Propounded?  Of what help these Yantras might have been to the Rishis? Why do the Veda Shastras held the power of Yantra in high esteem as an effective tool in the path of life?  What had been the aims and objects of  Vedic Yantras ? What do these Yantra diagrams communicate? Are Yantras mere signs of speech or writings? How are they related with Mantras and the Tantras? What are the relations between the Yantras and the deities?

Until now, most of us are carrying the impressions that Yantra is a science which is used through the five  elements of Nature and by the recitation of certain Mantras. Also we have the impressions that the vedic deities are worshipped in different forms and each form is linked to a Yantra. Also in our impressions we carry the knowledge that every planet is said to have a beneficial or harmful effect. And we are made to believe that Yantras remove the malefic effects of planets and increase their beneficial aspect. So, now the question is, whether we should go by our impressions or rather explore the Veda Samhitas and their systems of decoding the information about the Yantras that had been encoded to reveal the secrets through  the content of the Shrutis.
